Medicare-certified services that a Home Health Agency provides
Back to: » Home Health Agencies
Nursing Care Services are health care services and assistance provided to patients who are homebound because of illness, injury or elderly age. Quite often family members are not skilled enough to provide decent care so they decide to hire a nurse. Usually, a home nurse visits a patient on an intermissive basis and is only required for a couple of days a week. The majority of people who require home treatment are elderly patients.
The list of standard responsibilities of a nurse includes checking blood pressure, changing or removing bandages, dispensing medication and assistance in attending a physician. The range of duties a home nurse performs is not limited to specialized medical services. Other services may include assisting clients with such activities as house maintenance, cooking, bathing and so on.
